Class Preparation
Students are expected to attend every face-to-face class, arrive on time, stay for the entire class, and to prepare by reading assignments before arriving in the classroom. Before each class meeting, there will be a five point quiz based on the readings that are due for that class session. Missed quizzes cannot be made up.
The quizzes are administered online through Pearson Education's My Education Toolkit. NOTE: Students must earn more than 50% in order to receive credit for a quiz.
Below is the schedule of course readings. ECE stands for Essentials of Children Literature (Lynch-Brown, Tomlinson, and Short). All outlines or quizzes are from that text. Readings from Collaborative Strategies for Teaching Reading Comprehension: Maximzing Your Impact (Moreillon) will take place in the university classroom. The listing is to prepare you for the content of the class session.
